The
Quantum GIS project is pleased to announce the immediate availability
of the unstable QGIS Version 1.1.0 ‘Pan’. Source and binary packages
for Linux, Mac OSX and MS Windows can be obtained from the download area.

Stable software packages

The stable 1.0.x release series are part of our
effort to provide a stable, unchanging, long term supported
environment. Each minor release in the stable series contains only bug
fixes and no new features. The current official stable version is QGIS 1.0.2 ‘Kore’" and was released on 13 May 2009. For a list of bugs that were closed in the 1.0.2 release, please see the 1.0.2 release milestone.
We offer Ready-to-Run software packages (.exe, .dmg, .deb, .rpm) for
many platforms listed in the table below. If your OS is missing from
the list below, please check again soon – we add new packages as they
become available.

1.0.2 Stable Windows – Standalone

Download: http://download.osgeo.org/qgis/win32/QGIS-1.0.2-0-Setup.exe

This
is an MSVC based build of QGIS. All dependencies are supplied in a
standalone installer, including python, gdal (including MrSid Wavelet
compressed raster support) etc. This is most suitable for people who
have slow / no internet connections and who want to be able to share
and pass around copies of the installer – the installer can be run
offline since it contains everything needed to install QGIS and its
dependencies. You can check the integrity of this installer against
this checksum. Note: You may need to install the Microsoft C Runtime Libraries too. If QGIS does not start, get the MSVC libs from here and install them before trying to run QGIS again.

1.0.2 Stable Windows – OSGEO

Download: http://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo4w/

This
is the MSVC based build of QGIS. All dependencies are supplied via the
OSGEO4W installer, including python, gdal (including MrSid and ECW
Wavelet compressed raster support) etc. This is most suitable for
people who have fast internet connections and who want to be able to
update dependencies from the OSGEO repository easily.

Note: This build is an online installer. GRASS 6.4rc2 is available in the ‘advanced’ section of the installer.
